Melbourne auction tipping
By
Mark Armstrong
Affordability within 10kilometres of Melbourne CBD will be on offer when a Preston property goes to auction this weekend. For those who want to have a harmless punt, there's now a tipping website, www.propertytycoon.com.au, where punters can guess auction five results in Melbourne and Sydney, with no outlay. It's mostly about testing your market knowledge with a small cash prize as a sweetener. One of the five Melbourne properties in week three of the competition is 4 Youngman Street, Preston. John Petsinis from Barry Plant has suggested the property is worth $620,000 to $640,000 for the three-bedroom renovated family home on 465 square metres. Preston is one of Melbourne’s up-and-coming areas with great transport, shopping and school infrastructure. Young families who are looking to maintain that inner-city lifestyle with a bit more elbow room are expected to be crawling all over this one.
If you think you know what it will sell for place a tip at Property Tycoon. |

Meanwhile, Mike Quigley, boss of the federal government's National Broadband Network, has also sold his Mosman mansion recently at $3,555,000. It represented a loss on the $3.6 million paid in 2007.
