By
Cassidy Knowlton
The Victorian auction clearance rate has eased from 62% in May to 56% in June, according to the Real Estate Institute of Victoria. The highest clearance rates in June (for suburbs where there were 20 or more auctions) were in Glen Iris, Armadale, Malvern, Toorak and Brunswick. The current Victorian auction clearance rate of 56% is about the same as it was in October 2008, with the clearance rate peaking at a high of 87% in mid-2009 and early 2010.
