Australand and Citta Property Group have sold 17 apartments so far at The Green Parkville, the final phase of the landmark residential development at the original Parkville Gardens.

The Green Parkville offering was officially launched in late September.

Located four kilometres from Melbourne CBD, The Green Parkville apartment precinct sits directly opposite the village oval.

The development site was a former psychiatric hospital that later became the athlete’s village for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The latest off-the-plan offering is 57 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

SJB Architects focused on three main forms including the cube in its five-storey apartment building.

One-bedroom apartments start from $355,000, two-bedrooms from $455,000 and three-bedroom from $645,000.

Each residence has a car park space and bike storage.

The Park Club community facilities are exclusive to residents with a 25-metre indoor lap pool, gymnasium, function and theatre room.

The entire $35 million Parkville Gardens project was marketed as a modern housing development with the aim of being an integrated, social inclusive community.

The 20-hectare development included the retention and refurbishment of 11 heritage buildings and the capacity for approximately 1,000 dwellings.

The Green Parkville precinct  already has 155 detached homes, 14 townhouses and 68 apartments.

Set on Cade Way, Parkville, the Green Parkville has an estimated completion date of July 2014.
