Cockroach-free Church Point waterfront cottage on the market
By
Alistair Walsh
"The cockroaches have even moved out" is the marketing tagline for a waterfront property up for sale in Church Point, near Bayview. It’s an old fisherman’s cottage on 390 square metres of bayside land that has been held by the same family for 40 years. The dilapidated home is nestled among a row of renovated prestige Sydney Pittwater properties, each with jetties into the water. The home, with views across to national park land is marketed as an opportunity to demolish and start from scratch. Ross Ewington from LJ Hooker Mona Vale hopes to secure around $800,000 at auction.

Meanwhile, Mike Quigley, boss of the federal government's National Broadband Network, has also sold his Mosman mansion recently at $3,555,000. It represented a loss on the $3.6 million paid in 2007.
