CBRE and Mirvac employees will be among those taking part this Friday November 16 in the second annual Walk For A Wish Charity.

The simultaneous 10 kilometre walks will take part in major cities across Australia and New Zealand.

The event is held to raise funds and awareness for Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia and Make-A-Wish New Zealand.

“The event provides staff with the opportunity to give back to the community within which they work,” says Tom Southern, CBRE’s President and CEO, Australia and New Zealand.

The Sydney leg will take walkers from Martin Place through the Domain, past the NSW Art Gallery and Andrew Boy Charlton Pool to finish at the eastern suburbs Rugby Union Club in Rose Bay.

Mirvac has signed on as a principal sponsor of the Walk for a Wish event.

“We hope that our contribution to the Starlight and Make-A-Wish foundations will help them to continue their work in brightening the lives of sick children,” said the Mirvac chief Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz.

“This year Starlight has an overwhelming number of wish referrals and we hope to be able to let as many children as possibly know before Christmas that their Starlight wish will be granted,” said Starlight chief Louise Baxter.
