Traveston Dam, Sunshine Coast, rural offerings by state government
By
Jonathan Chancellor
The Queensland government has commissioned the auction of eight rural properties in the Mary Valley that were acquired for the Bligh government's abandoned Traveston Dam, Sunshine Coast, district project. The government has appointed Ray White to conduct the Helmsman-style auction next month in Brisbane. No price range estimates are being offered for the properties. All of the properties have houses being offered with vacant possession. Helmsman is a rarely used property auction format using time-sensitive publicly displayed written bidding. |

Meanwhile, Mike Quigley, boss of the federal government's National Broadband Network, has also sold his Mosman mansion recently at $3,555,000. It represented a loss on the $3.6 million paid in 2007.
