Aberfeldy, the Billabong Valley, Holbrook NSW Riverina rural property that has been owned by the Ross family for 147 years, was passed in at its recent Albury auction for $6.4 million through Meares & Associates inconjunction with Elders Real Estate.
It had been expected to sell for more than $7 million. It comes with a recently renovated 1926 Federation homestead. Set 70 kilometres south of Wagga Wagga and 70 kilometres north of Albury-Wodonga, the 1,377-hectare property was originally part of the 28,300-hectare Kinross Station. In recent years it has carried 70% livestock (sheep and cattle) and 30% crops. Aberfeldy's Poll Hereford herd was introduced to the property by the late Dudley Ross, the father of the current owners, Ian and Douglas Ross. |

The Block's Dan and Dani - last spotted looking around the Melbourne suburb of Kingsville - merely tweeted their acquisition with little fanfare. But there certainly weren't any tweets from the international film star Toni Collette about her recent property journey.
