Point Piper lock-up garage listed for luxury car price of $120,000: Title Tattle
By
Jonathan Chancellor
An ivy-clad streetfront 18-square-metre Point Piper lock-up garage in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has been listed with a $120,000 asking price.
The non-waterfront garage, at Lot 8, 39 Wolseley Rd, is listed through Park Properties agent Jake O'Neil. The vendor owns the garage on a 99-year leasehold that expires in August 2100. There are no body corporate fees or rates given it does not come with its own title.
Title Tattle is aware of a $125,000 storage space sale in a basement garage on the other side of Wolseley Road. The 17-square-metre storage space was bought by the Curran family in 2009. The family negotiated their purchase in a deal involving right-of-way access with the neighbouring Sienna development. The Wentworth Courier notes garages have the potential to fetch the same prices as new luxury cars as the demand for parking and/or storage in high-density areas spikes. |

Meanwhile, Mike Quigley, boss of the federal government's National Broadband Network, has also sold his Mosman mansion recently at $3,555,000. It represented a loss on the $3.6 million paid in 2007.
