By
Jonathan Chancellor
The historic Lambruk estate in Fryerstown, 10 kilometres south of Castlemaine, has been listed for sale. The gold-rush homestead on the 30-acre Taradale Road holding has been offered with $2.95 million hopes. It boasts a coach house, conservatory and colonial-legacy gardens that surrounds the 1860s sandstone home built from the riches of the goldfields by Edward Rowe. It last sold for more than $1.75 million when in 2005 Waller Realty sold to a Melbourne family who intended to use it as a weekender. It's been relisted this time through Rob Waller. It has been transformed internally to house three bedrooms, formal dining and sitting rooms, an office, library with glassed conservatory. There's a five-vehicle stone coach house, mezzanine storage and antique tower clock. The grounds comes with pool, stone cottage with ensuite, tennis court with guest pavilion, along with grazing paddocks vegetable gardens, paths and fountains, stone walling, ornamental lake and a creek within the property. Edward W.H.Rowe's family owned Lambruk for 75 years. |

The Block's Dan and Dani - last spotted looking around the Melbourne suburb of Kingsville - merely tweeted their acquisition with little fanfare. But there certainly weren't any tweets from the international film star Toni Collette about her recent property journey.
