A Kirribilli apartment has smashed the suburb record, selling for nearly $10.8 million.

The apartment, which sold quietly off-market recently, had been asking $8.5 million when it was marketed in 2015 (above and below). It sold for $10,796,400

Set in the Kirribilli Grande complex on the dress circle Kirribilli Avenue fronting the harbour, the apartment sits on the ground floor of the block of just eight.

It has uninterrupted views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in their entirety.

Built in the early 2000's, the apartment has three bedrooms, including a master with a walk in wardrobe, and two bathrooms.

The open plan living area opens to a garden.

It features a music and TV entertainment system, integrated inside and out.

McGrath North Sydney agent Nigel Mukhi is credited with securing the sale which topped the previous high, set in the same building when a 250 sqm three bedder a few floors up sold for $8 million in 2016.

That sale only bettered the record a few months earlier, again in the Kirribilli Grande complex, when a similar size unit on the floor above sold for $7.65 million.
