The largest penthouse in the $150 million Brisbane riverfront apartment building Rivello in Hamilton has hit the market, with developer Brookfield aiming to cash in on the high number of penthouse sales secured in Brisbane's premium pockets in recent weeks.

The penthouse is the final apartment available in Rivello and spans 562 sqm of the 17th floor, featuring expansive Brisbane River and CBD views.

The five-bedroom and five-and-a-half-bathroom apartment also includes a gym, home cinema, office, wine cellar, wet bar, fireplace, three-car garage, and multiple balconies including one that stretches the entire river frontage. The kitchen features luxury Gaggenau appliances including coffee machine, and a butler’s pantry with Liebherr fridges and Miele dishwasher.

It is priced at $7,125,000 and is being sold by YPM Group.

Construction is well underway on Rivello, which will feature 147 one, two and three-bedroom apartments along with a collection of four sub-penthouses and two opulent penthouses.

Work is anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.

The majority of apartments boast sweeping views of the Brisbane River, while residents enjoy access to an extensive array of facilities, including an infinity-edge roof top pool and spa, sauna and steam rooms, a private function room with kitchen and bar, a residents’ lounge, wine cellar, business centre, outdoor gardens and barbeque areas.

Brookfield Residential Properties’ Managing Director, Lee Butterworth, said the release of the final penthouse marked an important milestone in Rivello’s development and followed over $143 million in off the plan sales, with all other apartments in the building already sold.

“We’ve seen massive demand from buyers for these penthouses, sub-penthouses and apartments which is due to the exceptional amenities available for owners as well as the stunning location, just six kilometres from the Brisbane CBD,” Butterworth said.

“It is very rare for properties of this calibre to be released to the market and that’s why we’re expecting strong interest from a broad range of buyers.”

Butterworth said penthouse sales to date had been to owner-occupiers, wanting a spacious riverfront residence alongside the Portside Wharf precinct.

“Across the board, Rivello has appealed to local owner-occupiers, particularly those making the move from large homes in the nearby area and young professionals, along with interstate buyers relocating to Queensland,” he said.

“The River City has a huge opportunity ahead of the 2032 Olympics with many analysts predicting strong capital gains in the property market ahead of the worldwide event.”

Brisbane has seen a string of big ticket penthouse sales so far in 2023, the biggest and most recent being from Spyre's Arc Toowong project. The penthouse sold for $13.6 million.
