Haberfield, in Sydney’s inner west, saw a new suburb record when a five-bedroom Federation home sold under the weekend hammer at $4.23 million.
Three of six registered bid at the McGrath auction for the 1390 sq m property.
After a vendor bid of $4.05 million was placed, just the two parties head to head for the Federation home at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-haberfield-120233309" target="_blank">25 Turner Avenue</a>.
The Haberfield record-setter was another five-bedroom home at <a href="https://www.domain.com.au/property/sold/house/nsw/haberfield/?adid=2011843183" target="_blank">9 Forrest Street</a>.
On a 938-square-metre  block, the Federation bungalow featured a bold new two-storey addition.
It sold for $3,965,000 through Julie Hatch at Cobden &amp; Hayson Annandale. There were seven registered bidders.
The previous record was for a four-bedroom house at 14 Waratah Street that sold for $3.52 million in 2009.
There was the institutional sale of 1-5 Rogers Avenue for $5.25 million in 2012.

Haberfield Federation sets $4.23 million record

A grand Federation manor on 638 sqm in Coogee has been sold for $4.6 million at Cooley auction last night.
It is zoned R3 Development Potential, so it is likely to be demolished for units. Developers are hoping between six to nine units would be immediately possible. 
The freestanding Federation manor at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-coogee-122342242" target="_blank">48 Dudley Street</a> was marketed as a rare opportunity for development or sympathetic renovation.
There were $3.5 million plus indications, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
Auctioneer Damien Cooley advised the 13 registered parties the reserve was $3.5 million, with developers winning the prize offering.
Retaining a wealth of original features, the sprawling five-bedroom property showcases craftsmanship throughout from the soaring ornate ceilings to the rich maple joinery and artisan leadlight windows.
The historic treasure was built in 1918 and has been in the Joseph family ownership since 1947. 
It was offered through Coogee First National agents James Giltinan and Deborah Astelarra, inconjunction with PPDRE.

Knockdown 1918 Coogee Federation fetches $4.6 million

A Rozelle home needing some TLC has been listed with $1.4 million hopes for November 26 auction.
The two front rooms and bathroom have been renovated since it last traded for $1,173,000 in 2013, but the rear remains very much untouched.

Dilapidated Rozelle Federation home priced at $1.4 million

Ausin Group managing director Joseph Zaja, the salesman who has sold more Australian property to the Chinese than perhaps anyone else, and his wife Sarina have emerged as the buyers of the historic Glebe home Oswestry.
Zaja, who helps wealthy Chinese buy property in Australia, paid $6.25 million earlier this year for the landmark 1880s home.
The five-bedroom Glebe Point Road property, featuring Federation Queen Anne ornamentation, stands on 1003 sq m.
It is said that the American influence of McKim, Mead and White is evident in Oswestry's flamboyant architecture.

It last sold in 2004 at $3.55 million having previously changed hands in 1997 at $1.27 million.

The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-queens+park-125011706" target="_blank">double-fronted Federation</a> home sits on a 726 sqm parcel on Queens Park Road, directly fronting the park on a dual access corner block.
Built in 1915, the five bedroom, two bathroom home is one of Queens Park's signature Federation homes.
It comes with a level north facing garden and a fully fenced swimming pool
Properties around the home have been turned into luxury residences.

Original Queens Park home sells for first time in 59 years for $5.62 million

Lachlan Gillespie, The Wiggle who wears the purple skivvy, and the Yellow Wiggle, Emma Watkins have snappily sold their Wollstonecraft apartment.
The married couple are trading up, with many fans believing Watkins is pregnant following a mere Instagram post of the pair which read 'stay tuned'.
The reports of a baby Wiggle, however exciting, remain unconfirmed. Watkins' recent Instagram post shows a video of her dancing an Irish jig.
Even the sale price has not been confirmed by the ultra private couple,
Gillespie and Watkins have called the 1896 converted English-style manor apartment home four three years - around a year after they began dating.
They paid <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/news/70862-wiggle-couple-list-wollstonecraft-apartment" target="_blank">$1,395,000 in 2014</a> with the couple's relationship only becoming public knowledge in 2015.
The Shirley Road offering came with a $1.9 million to $2.09 million price guidance through Stone Real Estate Lane Cove agent Desiree Hough, who had it on the market for just 12 days before its sale.
She said they decided to sell the home as they are travelling and touring extensively for work, and do not spend enough time at home to enjoy the 184 sqm apartment.
The heritage late Federation mansion was named Ben Ledi, presumably in reference to the mountain in Perthshire, Scotland.
It comes with stained glass windows - one etched with the building's construction date. 
It was 2012 when Jeff Fatt - of "Wake up Jeff" fame - handed over his purple skivvy to Gillespie at the same time as Emma joined the gang.
The Wiggles have been entertaining children for 26 years.
