The 2.7 metre giraffe stands out of the front of the home at 37 Macquarie St, Teneriffe which last sold for $5.1 million in 2017.

The home has four bedrooms, a pool, cellar, rumpus and a kitchenette on the ground level.

The three-level home on 614sqm  has again been listed by Hamish Bowman and Matt Lancashire at Ray White New Farm.

When the original owners moved into the house seven years ago, a joke about a zoo-like enclosure on the front lawn resulted in the landscaper delivering a truckload of fake animals.

Giraffe Manor at Teneriffe listed

A submarine-inspired luxury residential development has surfaced in Teneriffe. 
Developer Visie Properties announced the official launch of its newest project, the $20 million Obsidian residences.
Just completed and for sale now, the development is located just three kilometres down-river from the Brisbane city heart.
Visie CEO Warren Swanston said the project was receiving very strong off-the-plan sales enquiry levels from local buyers.

Teneriffe submarine-inspired apartments for sale

An historic coach house built in the 1880s in Brisbane is now under contract having been auction earlier this month.
The dilapidated Teneriffe house at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-teneriffe-122072822" target="_blank">17 Teneriffe Drive</a> was the coach couse of Teneriffe House.
Of recent times Arthur Henricks and May Hickling who married in 1915 had ten children, with Merle residing up until this year.  In 1854, James Gibbon, former MLA and property speculator, known locally as 'Street Corner Jimmy' because he bought corner blocks, bought a parcel of land between Newstead and New Farm and named it Teneriffe, after Teneriffe Peak in the Canary Islands. Gibbon was living at Kingsholme in New Farm before commissioning the construction of Teneriffe House in 1865, on what became known as Teneriffe Hill.
The magnificent house cost 1715 pounds to build, and was constructed of rendered brick on a stone foundation.
The house changed hands several times in its history and was converted to flats in the late 1960s.

1880s Teneriffe coach house under contract

One of Brisbane's most renowned artists, Matt Stewart, and his award-winning hairstylist wife Anna have listed their Teneriffe apartment, artwork included.
The couple have spent 10 months completely <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-apartment-qld-teneriffe-123944058">renovating the loft apartment</a> that cost them $432,000 in 2013.

Brisbane artist Matt Stewart lists Teneriffe loft

Located at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-teneriffe-126138898" target="_blank">77 Macquarie Street</a>, it ranks among Brisbane’s most exclusive real estate.
Built in 2001, it last sold for $3.785 million in 2014 featuring three levels of riverfront living with views.
The master suite has a walk-in robe as well as ensuite along three other bedrooms.
There is also a study and multiple living areas.
The property has 365 sqm of riverfront allotment with 488 sqm of living space.
There are also TV room/library and outdoor area.

Riverfront Catalina, Teneriffe house, Catalina, sold for $4.8 million

Brisbane's weekend clearance rate sat at 50 percent.
Its top weekend sale was a <a id="x_mcntLPlnk575404" href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-teneriffe-128312478" target="_blank">five bedroom Teneriffe offering</a>, Riverview that fetched $4,405,000.
There were seven registered bidders at the Sunday afternoon auction through McGrath agent Henry Hodge.

$4.4 million Riverview, Teneriffe Queensland sale

A NSW investor has acquired a Teneriffe, Brisbane retail investment property.
It was the strata ground floor retail unit that houses The Dalgety Public House at 8-9/110 Macquarie Street.
It was bought for $1.91 million under the hammer through Ray White Commercial agent Michael Feltoe.
The campaign produced 67 inquiries. 
<a href="http://www.dalgetyhouse.com.au/" target="_blank">The Dalgety Public House</a> is a country-meets city gastropub in the base of the 1950s red brick Dalgety and Co’s no 3 Woolstore in Teneriffe.
It hasn’t been vacant in over 20 years, Feltoe said.
The property on the corner of Florence St, has a total area of 257 square metres. The sale realised a 7.21% yield.
It is on the ground floor of Teneriffe Village which is listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.
Built in the mid 1950s by Dalgety &amp; Co, the building housed Paddy’s Market in the 1980s.
The building was then converted into apartments and ground floor retail as part of an urban renewal process which saw Teneriffe officially become a suburb in 2010.

Dalgety Public House gastropub in Teneriffe sold to NSW investor

Entrepreneur Jordan Grives is selling his Teneriffe apartment.
Grives paid $1.8 million for the three bedroom loft-style apartment just over 12 months ago shortly before selling his previous two bedroom apartment nearby.
Set in the Winchcombe Carson Woolstore, the top level apartment spans 265 square metres and has a built-on library, fully-equipped wet bar, a pool room, rumpus room and a large deck.
Ray White New Farm agents Matt Lancashire and Ben Percival have the listing.
Grives and his partner Amelia and their two Maltese cross poodles Ari and Coco are renting in New Farm.
Grives said they may build something, but will stay in Brisbane. 
Earlier this year Grives sold Fone Dynamics, the messaging and call analytics company he founded, for around $8.4 million.
In 2016 he pocketed $30 million when he sold his Fonebox enterprise to J2 Global, the NASDAQ-listed American internet services business.

The original Woolstore was designed in the early 1910's by acclaimed architect Robin Dods.
Walls &amp; Juster built the heritage-listed Vernon Terrace warehouse for Australian Mercantile Land &amp; Finance (AML&amp;F) who had purchased the land in 1910.
The original Hall &amp; Dods architectural plans included a second store, which was built around a decade later.
The property was sold in 1980 to Pacific Fire Protection, which used level three for customer storage, while leasing level four to TL Tourrier &amp; Co. Pty Ltd Woolstore.
The Brisbane City Council's Teneriffe Development Plan suggested recycling the buildings as a wool exhibition and tourist centre, however, in 2004, the Australian Property Growth Fund purchased the building and refurbished it to create 89 apartments.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Mercantile_Land_%26_Finance_Woolstores#cite_note-2"> </a>
Push Architecture designed the redevelopment.

The Teneriffe restaurant and bar space of Streetcorner Jimmy, in the London Woolstore building, has sold at auction for $1.34 million.
The ground floor commercial premises at 36i Vernon Terrace had strong interest from a range of different investor profiles
Bidding began at $1 million, with seven bids taking the final sale price to $1.34 million.
The sale reflected around a 7.3 per cent yield.
“We had more than 65 people enquire about the asset and that culminated in three registered bidders battling it out on the day,” Ray White agent Michael Feltoe said.
